Yahoo--Heat Wave

WOW, we are having a regular heat wave here in Northern Wisconsin! Temp last nit only got down to -6* and now at almost 1:00PM it is up to 17* above!! Thinking about going outside in shorts!!

Ok, last Saturday dumping 10" surprised everyone but winter storm warning was posted.

Yesterday snow advisory 1-3" no big deal. Well we got 6-8" now thats a big deal   AND down to 4 tonight..

In 10 days the low is predicted to be 35, highs in the 50s..

Watch out for flooding all over the country.. no February thaw this year..

We got 10 inches last weekend too and we are watching the snow fall again right now.  It is pretty but we have not been above freezing except for a couple days in a week or more.

Yesterday it was just gorgeous here! Not much wind, 20 degrees, clear skies, the ice along the edge of our asphalt driveway was melting from the sun's heat and little streams of water running down the drive. I even saw another harbinger of spring yesterday!!! HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION SIGNS!! Some are out already!  
This morning (8 o'clock) it is 12 degrees and light fluffy snow falling. Enough that the driveway is white.

                       Woke up this morning , it's 59 degrees . Freezing my buns off .          Just can't take this cold any more . Today  we are going to get rain , really tuff .  Oh well , I'll just have to suffer thru it .  Parker AZ.                Brad Metzger

Finally, the endless summer came to an end here in Northern California, at least for a day or two. A cold blustery storm with big, low puffy clouds dropped an inch of rain here at our place with quite a bit of snow up at Donner Summit. First rain in February and a lot of January. We have only half the yearly average of 51 inches so expect a hot and risky summer. Warm weather is back at least for the next ten days.

Years ago the team I pitched for a team that played  in a softball tournament on the ice up near Sturgeon Bay, WI. We won the tourney and for some dumb reason they gave me the MVP trophy. Guess they thought I was dumb because of my trying to slide. Not good on bare ice!!
Now, golf, using tennis balls and snowshoes I was fairly good at. Not great but just fairly good.
