Good Dr report and Fun stuff staying home and Finally HOLES

Well today was an interesting day.  I got a good report from the doctor who could not understand why my vision has returned back to normal 20/20 as well as my ability to see color. Both of them were degraded in my left eye from the radiation.  Then on the way home we stopped to shop for appliances for the new home base.  All good so far until we get in the car. There is a VM on Linda's phone from the cleaning lady.  I had shoveled a straight path to the front door and a straight way to back out. She decided that she would drive in a circle instead. Now everything is frozen and I did not clear that section of the driveway. She did not make it so she backs up and drives 200 feet into the side yard.  Then she turns around tearing up the lawn there and drives around the whole of the front lawn till she come down hill to a drainage ditch.  OOP no way anything other then Brad M's four wheeler is going to make that climb so she runs next to it and tries to get up in a couple places.  Thankfully it was frozen a little way but no dice.  Huge areas of mud and torn up hillside till she gets around to the other side and someone pulls her up.  I expected a bit of off the driveway but not the entire front and side yard.  Amazing how some people have no common sense.  I just though holes.... When you are in a hole stop digging.

From personal experience, a lot of the dents in the lawn will repair themselves in spring. Deep ruts into mud will not.

I hope so. Of course I want to put the house on the market this spring.  Just goes to figure that would be the case.

Congrats on the good Dr. report!  Vision is certainly one thing to protect and be thankful for.

As for the "Holes" part of the thread, the first thing that came to mind when I read the title was the book, "Holes," by Louis Sachar.  It's children's literature, but these are some of my favorite reads.  This book is fantastic, and the movie isn't too bad, either!

Bummer about the lawn, that's got to be quite frustrating!

John,
Great news on the Dr. report and your vision.  Remember that the human body tends to repair itself, if left to its own devises and healthy living.  On the holes in your front yard, I have a similar but totally different hole problem in the back yard....Moles!  And these critters are persistent and impossible to extricate from the lawn short of blasting them out...LOL...that's next in the Spring.

when you consider the Dr Report, the lawn assumes it's proper importance ... small potatoes. Pity about the cleaning lady having the same amount of common sense as an onion.  Her life must be a series of circles!.

Carol I think you hit it right on the head both times.  It probably was a good day to do that to the yard as it does put it in perspective.
