The curse of the Love Bugs. Ft DeSoto, FL

Yikes! They just arrived and are swarming. I've never seen anything like it. There is a cloud of them in our campsite.  I'm not looking forward to driving through these on the way home next week.

They appear to come out when the  temp reaches 80 and disappear at sunset.

Jeff- Don't turn on your wipers if they get your windshield covered.  Instead, find a safe place to pull over and wash them off.
Be prepared with what you need to clean them, extension handle, windshield solvent, whatever you need.  I found that out years ago with my SOB.

Enjoy the rest of your stay.                ^.^d

Jeff, put a good coat of wax on areas where they can hit, makes removel much easier. The person that figures out how to get rid of them will be well off. On the bright side be glad they don't bite!😬

They are 100% protein. Get a bottle or 2 of hydrogen peroxide & a spray bottle. Dilute 50%. Sometimes if real bad area use full strength on wet towel. Rinse away. Haven't had any negative effects on paint or rubber.

...well Jeff where the heck were these critters on Sunday? Guess it didn't get that hot...anyway I was buying packing supplies at Walmart the other day and saw a dispenser type 'wand' (like a lint roller) of shrink wrap for $7.84...looked like it was definitely big enough to do the front of the coach...

Sailors used to spray dry Teflon on their sails to keep dirt from sticking. Anybody try mclube on the front of the coach?

Way back in the 70s we tried using cooking spray on a he front of the cab overs, and front of the trailers. All it did was make a nice gooey mess. Bout all you can do is keep on washin.
